AudioCodes Voca CIC Connects AI Voice Automation with Microsoft Teams Customer Service

Written by Mary Medina | Sep 9, 2026, 3:37:26 PM

The Brief: AudioCodes announced that its Voca Conversational Interaction Center (Voca CIC) has been certified for the Microsoft Teams Unify integration model for Voice Agents. The solution is among the first to receive certification through Microsoft’s Teams Voice Agent Certification Program.

Voca CIC’s AI Voice Agents can answer incoming calls, provide information, verify callers, understand their needs, and route them to the appropriate destination. These destinations can include an Auto Attendant, Call Queue, individual Teams user, or live Contact Center agent. Caller information is retained when a call moves from the AI Voice Agent to a live agent.

Voca CIC is also certified for the Microsoft Teams Unify integration model for Contact Center. As part of the certification process, Microsoft conducted independent functional testing and reviewed the solution’s security, compliance, data handling, latency, and AI response accuracy. AudioCodes offers Voca CIC as a Managed Service for Teams and Azure customers.

AudioCodes Voca CIC Earns Microsoft Teams Voice Agent Certification

Analyst Perspective: AudioCodes’ new certification gives Voca CIC a stronger role within Microsoft Teams’ growing voice AI capabilities. The service connects AI Voice Agents with Teams-based customer service, which allows automated calls to move into established Teams destinations and live Contact Center interactions. This makes the AI experience part of the same customer journey instead of a separate tool.

For AudioCodes, the update brings its customer experience offerings closer together. Voca CIC combines AI Voice Agents and Contact Center capabilities in a Managed Service designed for organizations using Microsoft Teams and Azure. This gives businesses a way to add automated voice interactions while keeping live customer service within the same environment.

The certification also gives customers additional information when considering the service. Voca CIC went through independent functional testing and Microsoft’s security and compliance review, including checks for data handling, security, latency, and AI response accuracy. These requirements provide a clearer basis for enterprises considering the technology.

AI Voice Agents Extend Call Handling Across Teams Destinations

The new Voice Agent certification covers how Voca CIC handles calls before they reach a human representative. The AI Voice Agents can respond to calls, provide information, authenticate callers, capture intent, and determine the caller’s needs. Once that interaction is understood, the call can be sent to several Teams destinations.

Those destinations include an Auto Attendant, a Call Queue, an individual Teams user, or a live Contact Center agent. The workflow retains caller context during the transition, and caller information remains available when a human agent takes over to support a smoother handoff.

The certification is part of Microsoft’s Teams Voice Agent Certification Program, with Voca CIC among its first certified solutions. This gives the capability a formal place within Microsoft’s voice automation framework for Teams.

Microsoft Certification Covers Functionality, Security, And AI Response Quality

Microsoft’s certification process specifies independent third-party functional validation as well as a Microsoft security and compliance review. These checks cover data handling, security, latency, and the accuracy of AI-generated responses.

For enterprise buyers, those criteria relate to the operational requirements of an AI voice service. Voice interactions require timely responses, dependable routing, accurate processing, and appropriate treatment of customer information. Certification provides evidence that Voca CIC has been examined against Microsoft’s requirements in these areas, providing buyers with additional technical and compliance information.

The review is also relevant because the AI Voice Agent participates in call routing and can transfer callers to live Teams destinations. Certification therefore applies to a service operating within a larger communications workflow.

Managed Service Delivery Brings Voca CIC To Microsoft Marketplaces

AudioCodes is offering Voca CIC as a Managed Service, with the company responsible for implementation, operation, and ongoing support. The model is designed for enterprises using cloud and AI capabilities around Microsoft Teams and Azure, providing one service for Contact Center and Voice Agent capabilities.

The offering is also available for evaluation through a 30-day free trial. Customers can access it through the AudioCodes website, Microsoft Marketplace, and the Teams Store. The trial includes a conversational contact center with AI and omnichannel features, as well as a free AudioCodes phone number for testing.

This availability gives organizations a way to examine the service before production deployment. It also places Voca CIC across Microsoft purchasing and application channels, making it accessible to Teams customers through established software marketplaces and channels.

Where Certified Voice Automation Fits Into AudioCodes’ Teams Strategy

Adding Microsoft’s Voice Agent certification gives AudioCodes a clearer route to organizations using Teams. The most relevant customers are likely enterprises seeking automated first-line call handling while retaining access to live contact center agents when human assistance is needed.

Maintaining Reliable Voice AI

The main consideration will be maintaining reliable AI responses, secure data handling, accurate caller authentication, and dependable transfers in complex deployments.

AudioCodes’ Managed Service model can address these requirements through implementation, operations, and support, while Microsoft’s certification provides an additional validation layer.

Where Voca CIC Goes From Here

Looking ahead, the measure will be how Voca CIC performs in real customer workflows and how widely enterprises adopt certified Voice Agent integrations. If customers gain useful automation without losing continuity with live agents, the certification could support adoption of AudioCodes’ Microsoft Teams customer experience portfolio.
