On this New Product Alert, the Collab Collective’s Craig Durr speaks with Scott Krueckeberg, Head of Global Solutions & Alliances at DTEN, at Zoomtopia 2026 to explore DTEN’s latest hardware innovation. The conversation introduces the DTEN Action Card, an AI-powered recording device designed to extend Zoom’s My Notes capabilities beyond traditional meeting spaces.
Craig Durr: Everyone, this is Craig Durr, Chief Analyst at the Collab Collective. We are here at Zoomtopia 2026 in beautiful Rancho Palos Verdes, which is a lower part of LA. I haven't been here before, but I'm not here to talk to you about the weather. I'm here to talk to you about some of the announcements that took place today, and one of them that really caught my eye was actually a hardware partnership. It was with a partner that you and I already know. Come with me and let's talk to the people at DTEN.
Scott, how are you doing?
Scott Krueckeberg: Good to see you, Craig.
Craig Durr: Head of Global Alliances and Solutions
Scott Krueckeberg: That's me.
Craig Durr: I just got it right.
Scott Krueckeberg: You did. You nailed it.
Craig Durr: I did. All right. So you guys had an announcement on stage, which tied into the My Notes solutions, and let's talk about that for a second. Zoom's really leaning into My Notes. What is that to you?
Scott Krueckeberg: Well, I think what My Notes really signifies is, regardless of space, you're able to capture productivity from a large room to a kiosk down to in your pocket. And that's really what we're trying to create.
Craig Durr: And that's what you guys bring together right now. Those are situations where you and I are talking right now. We're not in a meeting, we're not in a call, but I want to capture those notes. I want to capture that transcript. I want to be able to use it later on.
Scott Krueckeberg: That's the idea.
Craig Durr: What's the solution that DTEN is bringing to market?
Scott Krueckeberg: So this is our new Action Card.
Craig Durr: It is an action card. Everyone, take a look at this. That is beautiful. So what am I looking at? It's Maglite. Fits onto my phone, but I can hold it personally. This is a recorder device, right?
Scott Krueckeberg: Yeah, it's basically an AI notetaker that we co-designed with Zoom, that integrates directly into My Notes. No third-party moving stuff back and forth from your data. This records directly into your Zoom application. You go to My Notes, and all of your conversations will be listed.
Craig Durr: So everything's automatically synced right now? You are one of the first partners with the whole My Note integration on this as well, right? And what's kind of nice about this is not only does this work for what you and I are talking about, you actually showed me a use case where with the phone. I'm on the phone call, and it can actually still capture both sides of the conversation.
Scott Krueckeberg: Both sides. It'll record your voice and the speaker on the phone at the same time, so you capture both sides of that conversation.
Craig Durr: I mean, now let's talk about hardware. What can you tell me about this? Like, how much storage does it have? How long is the battery? What do you know about that?
Scott Krueckeberg: You want to know something crazy? 90 days battery life.
Craig Durr: What?
Scott Krueckeberg: Yeah, 90 days battery life. It's a custom design, so we included something easy like the USB-C cable that everyone has. But you only need it once every 90 days.
Craig Durr: Wow!
Scott Krueckeberg: So that's the limit on the card. But also, what's great is it kind of completes the story of My Notes in the room, which everyone now, if you look back there, has access to transcription. It's going right now. It's all running in the room and we know the room is the most important thing, but you're not always in one. And I think that's important for people who are on the road, who are meeting with customers, who have jobs like us where we're not always within four walls.
Craig Durr: I think I see you more in convention centers and conference halls than I see anyone else.
Scott Krueckeberg: One hundred percent. It is to be able to have this on your phone, pull it out of your pocket. It's perfect. Integrated. Goes right in.
Craig Durr: Well, tell me about this. What's the time frame? When is this going to be available in market?
Scott Krueckeberg: It's going to be available next month, November. We're pre-ordering now. 189.
Craig Durr: 189?
Scott Krueckeberg: 189 for the hardware.
Craig Durr: And when it comes out, the My Notes integration is already there, capable?
Scott Krueckeberg: Already hot now.
Craig Durr: That's fantastic. I love it.
Scott Krueckeberg: So it's ready to go, and the My Notes that's included in your Zoom subscription applies here. Which is a one-time hardware purchase, and then you're off.
Craig Durr: I appreciate that, and I should tell you this: I am already a My Notes user. I love it. You know, I should probably test this for you. And if you don't mind, maybe I can just… All right, I'm just kidding.
Scott Krueckeberg: No, the thing is, I can record you all the way to wherever you're going. So I will hunt you down and get it back.
Craig Durr: Scott, thank you so much. This is the DTEN action card coming in one month, initial partnership with My Notes. I'm sure there's other things in the works as well. But going to market with them is such a strong message.
I really appreciate it.
Scott Krueckeberg: Absolutely, man. Great to see as always.
Craig Durr: All right.
Well, everyone, this is Craig Durr with the Collab Collective. We'll bring you some more updates here on Zoomtopia 2026.
